It’s FINALLY finished!!! And I really couldn’t be happier with the end result!
The “Like a BOSS” Blanket Series celebrates hard-working women in every aspect of life, and each applique square comes with a short write-up that explains it’s meaning.
When they are all put together it tells a very strong, empowering story!
To actually put the squares together, simply lay them out as shown (or go wild & make your own pattern!) Then, place the squares from Column 1 & Column 2 together, RIGHT SIDES FACING.
For example, I started with the Hot Blue square with the Cloud on it and a plain Hot Pink square, right sides together.
For the verticle joining, using Lily Sugar n Cream in Hot Orange, I simply completed a single crochet, ch 1, skip 1 stitch, and repeated that squence all the way down each column.
Once all columns were joined, I joined the rows (horizontals) by completing sc in each stitch across.
After all rows were complete, then I joined the orange yarn in one of the corners with the RIGHT SIDE of the blanket facing me. To start the border, hdc around, placing 3 hdc in each corner.
Then, do the same with the Purple.
For the next round, join Hot Green in a corner with the RIGHT SIDE of the blanket facing, and do one more round of hdc.
Finally, one last round to complete the scalloped edging. Hdc 5 all in the corner stitch, skip 1 stich, slst, skip 1 stitch, and repeat around.
THAT’S IT!!! YOU CROCHETED THIS BLANKET LIKE A BOSS!!!
